Ingalls & Associates completed several engineering and environmental tasks relative to the rehabilitation and revitalization of a formerly abandoned industrial dock facility along the Hudson River. The Port of Coeymans was a former brick manufacturing facility. It now operates as a full service deep-water marine terminal and industrial staging area. Comprehensive design and permitting tasks included:
- Analysis of sounding data and hydrographic survey
- Sediment sampling analysis
- Preparation of all project plans, including comprehensive site plan
- Geotechnical analysis & design for high level concrete dock and inlet canal
- Wetland delineation
- Jurisdictional determination
- Wetland functional assessment
- Design, implementation, and monitoring of a subtidal/intertidal mitigation area, including planting and Grading Plans
- Section 10 Individual Permitting with USACE
- Article 15 Permitting with NYSDEC
- Dredge material disposal site analysis and approval
- Preparation of an essential fish habitat analysis
- Coordination with NMFS and EPA
- Coordination with cultural resources agencies relative to rehabilitation of historic structures
- Obtainment of NYSDOS Coastal Zone Consistency approval
- Coordination with NYSOGS regarding State Owned Lands Underwater
- Preparation of SWPPP, erosion & sediment control plans, and associated inspections
- Town of Coeymans permitting
- Compliance with local waterfront revitalization plans
- Construction support, inspections, and recommendations
- Permit compliance monitoring
- Conducted several meetings with involved parties, including regulatory agencies
- Boundary and topographic survey & establishment of base mapping
